مشکل در دانلود Patch ها در VMware Update Manager
So what happens here? Looks that VMware Update Manager Download stays in a ‘ Queued’ status and will not run further. This error may be seen if you are using a proxy server and all isn’t configure right.
The VMware Update Manager VirtualCenter 2.5 plug-in uses the VMware Update Manager Update Download scheduled task to download metadata for patches. This task also runs once a week as part of the Update Signatures task in VirtualCenter 2.5.
Note: I Assume that your firewall has open HTTP (80) and HTTPS (443) ports:
- To ensure you can install patches using Update Manager:
- Add a (service) account to your Active Directory. For example: “svc.vum”
- Make sure this account “svc.vum” has full unristriced access to internet true your proxy.
- Login to the VUM server and add this “svc.vum” account to the local Administrator group (I’m not sure if this is necessary)
- Run the “vum-proxyAuthCfg.exe” located in “C:\Program Files\VMware\Infrastructure\Update Manager” to setup the proxy correctly
- Change the VMware Update Manager service from logging on as local administrator to the same Windows authentication user that is being specified in your proxy settings “svc.vum”
- To do this click start > Run > services.msc and press ENTER on your VUM server
- Go to the Tab “Log On” and add the account “svc.vum”
- Click “OK”
- Restart the “VMware Update Manager service”
- Re-run the “VMware Update Manager Download” task again via Virtual Center ans like you can see in the pictures below it runs again
If the above steps fail, rename the folder C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\VMware\VMware Update Manager\Data\hostupdate, then run the task again.
