HP Enterprise Virtual Array (EVA) SAN Storage
Enterprise-Class Uptime and Reliability
HP EVA storage arrays are designed with an extremely high level of component redundancy in order to ensure that downtime is so minimal that it is almost non-existent. One of the many ways that HP EVA arrays offer redundancy is through their controller pairs, which operate in an active-active combination to prevent connection failures. Another way is through their disk drives with built-in VRAID that ensure that the same sector of data us duplicated in every drive throughout the array, so that if one disk drive fails the data still exists and is operational elsewhere.
Saves Time and Money Compared to Traditionally Architected Storage
Not only do HP StorageWorks EVA arrays provide enterprise-class storage at a low price point, they save you money once they are inside your datacenter as well. With an EVA storage array, you can expect easy capacity expansion, instantaneous replication and simplified storage administration. Even more, when using the MPX Multifunction Router you can present storage to remote locations using 1GB and 10GB FCIP connectivity for investment protection through multi-use. All of these great features add up to less wasted time and more money that can go back into your IT budget.
Incredible Versatility to Meet a Broad Spectrum of Requirements
HP EVA disk storage systems can provide the storage you need, regardless of whether you are a Small and Medium Business (SMB) or a Fortune 500 company. You can even start with one generation, or a lower-capacity model, and upgrade it as your require when the times comes. And when the time does come, GLC Product Specialists know all of the upgrade paths that exists for the entire EVA product line – making it that much easier for you to upgrade! So whether you have 10TB or 300GB, GLC offers an EVA solution that’s right for you.
No HP StorageWorks EVA Customer Left Behind – A GLC Initiative
The first couple generations of HP EVA storage arrays were designed to be easily upgradeable through longevity of part standardization– only the controllers needed to be updated. However, in recent generations HP has changed their product line significantly and discontinued the previous generations of EVA’s. This forces customers to do to a rip and replace upgrade of their current infrastructures. However, here at Great Lakes we will continue to maintain inventory on discontinued EVA models to keep you going on your old, familiar platform until you decide to part ways – the choice is yours.
