نصب ویندوز 7 بر روی DELL Mini

Having problems with installing Windows 7 or Windows XP on a Dell Mini notebook? After searching and trying about 20 different methods (some very complicated) this is a good methode how to do it with a USB stick. I think it will work for other notebooks as well.

This is what you need:

• A netbook (Minimum 1GB of RAM, 8GB storage space)
• A 4GB or larger USB stick
• A Windows 7 RC Image (details below)
• A Windows XP/Vista PC or a Mac to prepare the flash drive

  1. The first is, getting Windows 7.
    • Navigate to this page and download the 32-bit version. You’ll need to get a Windows Live ID.
    • Microsoft will then give you your very own Windows 7 License key, valid until June 1st of next year.
    • (Although after March 1st, it’ll drive you to the edge of sanity by shutting off every two hours. But that’s a different story, and March is a long way off).
    •
  2. The second option is to Preparing Your Flash Drive.
    • Ensure you have a USB stick with more than 3GB capacity
    • Using the HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool (v2.0.6) which you can download over here
    • Also download the DOS startup files which you can find here
    • Install the HP USB Disk Format Tool v.2.0.6 an extract the jmpdrive.zip to C:\jmpdrive
    • Now start the HP USB Disk Format Tool and use the same values as shown below
    • Hit Start
    • Congratulations and happy birthday. Your USB stick is now bootable.
  3. The third option is copy your Windows 7 ISO to your USB stick
    • Download Daemon Tools Lite. This is an application for Microsoft which provides you an optical media emulation. DAEMON Tools enables you to convert your physical CD/DVD discs into “virtual discs” so called “images”.
    • Mount your Windows 7 ISO with Daemon Tools. Assume the mounted iso is G:\
    • Go Programs > Accessories and then right-click on Command Prompt and choose “Run as administrator”.
    • Open the “boot” folder, inside which we’ll find a file called “bootsect.exe” that we’ll need to use.
    • (For Windows XP Open the “boot” folder, inside which we’ll find a file called “bootsect.exe” that we’ll need to use.) download over here
    • Inside cmd, type and enter the followings: g:
    • Inside cmd, type and enter the followings: cd boot
    • Inside cmd, type and enter the followings (assuming that your USB stick has the letter H:\)bootsect /nt60 h:
    •
    • Now, copy all the files from the Windows 7 ISO to the USB stick. Copy all data on G:\ to H:\. You don’t need to do this from the command prompt(xcopy). Just drag and drop the files from the “Windows 7” folder into the USB stick using Windows Explorer.
    • This took me 15 minutes in Windows Vista Undecided
  4. The fourth option is to boot from your Windows 7 USB stick and make sure you can boot from usb.

If this didn’t help you there is a lot to find at http://www.mydellmini.com/forum/windows-7/ Good Luck!
