Short statement for Step # 1.
Boot into BIOS. In the Advanced configuration of BIOS, change the SATA setting to “RAID” andPCH Raid codebase to “INTEL”. Then press F10 to save the changes and exit. Refer to the image below:

While the server is booting, press the Ctrl and I keys together when it prompts to load the Raid configuration utility.
Select “Create RAID Volume” from the menu and press the enter key. Refer to the image below:

Specify a name and for the Raid level, by default it will be volume0. Select RAID 1 (or RAID 0) and press the enter key to go to the next field. Refer to the image below:

Press enter when “Create Volume” is highlighted. Refer to the image below:

After confirming RAID creation, it will show a pop up message as shown in the image below. Press the Y key when it displays the warning “Are you sure you want to create this volume?” to confirm RAID creation.
